Coaching

As an eating disorder coach, I am trained to work with you in a unique way, outside of an office, helping you with daily living experiences. This means I will be available at times and during situations when other treatment providers are traditionally unavailable. I will accompany you in a variety of circumstances when your eating behaviors are hard to control and together we will discover new coping strategies that I will help you utilize. I will be available to you by text, email and phone and we will discuss the scope of this kind of communication on an individual basis.

Talk Sessions

SIGNAL, ZOOM: We will discuss your current situation, specific challenges and triumphs, goals large and small in 30 or 50 minutes. I do not have an office. I do not do talk sessions in person unless we agree to a location and travel time.

Meal Sessions

ZOOM, RESTAURANTS, AT HOME: We will have a snack or a meal together at a previously agreed upon location, with or without established food challenges based on your individual situation. Client is responsible for the cost of the meal or groceries.

Event Sessions

IN PERSON: For those in the New York City tri-state area, I can accompany you to events when you anticipate food anxiety and require support.

Texting

SIGNAL: Momentary support to combat eating disorder urges or to face fears related to dysfunctional eating or exercise. Text support is included in the talk session fee.


Group Wellness Program

What does “wellness” mean to you? Physical, mental, emotional health? Is it a mindset? Is it being fit, eating well, and practicing self-care? Is it doing what you both need AND want to do? Everyone’s definition of wellness is a personal one. How do you feel? Looking for a reset? Are there changes you would like to make but just cannot quite take the leap? Sometimes knowing you are not alone can help. Strength in numbers!

Group Wellness Sessions

In my group wellness program, I will guide you through incremental goal setting, behavioral change techniques, and strategies to make your personality traits work for you rather than against you all so that you can be the best version of yourself. Through this eight-week program, you will develop bonds with other group members, holding one another accountable as well as offering support along the way.

Presentations

EVENTS: As a speaker, I am available for presentations to school groups, parents, organizations and athletic teams in the tri-state area (New York, New Jersey and Connecticut). Please refer to my contact information for further discussion.

Our work is designed to help you address how your eating disorder or dysfunctional eating is affecting your daily life, impacting the choices you make and the goals you pursue.
